While I was lucky to be able to host an in-person art show in Fall 2021, the opportunity for many to see the artwork live still posed a challenge due to the uncertainty that came with the pandemic. This landscape got me thinking how I can continue to share the message of beauty in visual art, challenging me to find creative solutions to showcase it.
Nothing compares to how impactful it is to view art in person. The moment you discover a new piece is so valuable to the relationship you have with it. To be in the presence of a work, view its minute details, and stand in its’ glory often makes or breaks your understanding and appreciation of it. Down to being able to read the description while simultaneously studying the work being described… It’s these moments that open up the chance to have a personal connection and understand the messages behind art.
The following videos were created to hopefully spark that light. The goal is that these take you into the themes and stories behind each piece. While you may not be able to see these paintings in person, these videos will evoke the inspiration.
